GraffiDi is an interactive installation for reinventing street culture.

While graffiti has been called an art form, it has also become a social problem due to the declining morals of those who paint it. To address this issue, I created "GraffiDi", an LED graffiti canvas that disappears with time.

Pedestrians can use the flashlight function of their smartphones to paint on the canvas as if they were using spray paint.

The main goal of this installation is to raise questions about the use of public art, and to encourage children and adults alike to use erasable graffiti to improve their morals and recognize graffiti as a part of the city.

Graffiti is said to have originated here in New York, and by using LEDs to light up the streets at night, I hope to start eliminating the scary image of graffiti from its roots in New York.
